Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agarwal, who has come under the scanner in connection with a sex-racket case, today cried foul and urged the Delhi Police to take strong action against the culprits.
"Neither do I indulge in wrong things nor do I believe in making someone else indulge in the same. Someone is using my name. If someone is doing this then that is fake. I want the Delhi Police to take strict action against the culprits because it's extremely unfortunate to use someone else's name," he told ANI.
The Delhi Police earlier today busted a high profile sex racket in Safdarjung area here.
They arrested 63-year-old P. N. Sanyal, who is said to be the kingpin of this sex racket, after the raid.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Ishwar Singh said that the messages were sent to a senior IAS officer and bureaucrats on WhatsApp by the Samajwadi Party leader's name.
The police also said the investigation is as of now at a preliminary stage.
The sex racket incident came to the fore earlier today during an Income Tax raid.
