Shane Watson picked up an injury on the third day of the fourth Ashes Test being played at Durham as Ian Bell slammed his third hundred of the series to give England a handy lead that could prove crucial in the match.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Bell's unbeaten 105, left England 5-234 in their second innings at stumps on Sunday, with a lead of 202, while the tourists, with a first-innings lead of 32, had been well on top when Ryan Harris ripped through the England top order, leaving them 3-49.
However, Bell once again made up for the shortcomings of his teammates above him, partnering in a century stand with Kevin Pietersen (44) that frustrated Michael Clarke's side and had him coasting to three figures again with little to no trouble, the report said.
Harris said that it was obviously not good when someone got injured and you never want anyone limping off, especially someone like Shane Watson, who is a pretty big player in the team.
