Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has discussed the agenda for the upcoming NSA-level talks between India and Pakistan with Army chief General Raheel Sharif.
According to the Dawn, a meeting has been held to review the progress of the National Action Plan (NAP) and the internal security situation of Pakistan.
The ground offensive in North Waziristan Agency's mountainous Shawal Valley was also discussed during the meeting, according to sources.
Sharif also used the meeting to condemn the killing of Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada and discussed how to further implement the NAP in Punjab.
Pakistan's High Commissioner to India, Abdul Basit, had extended an invitation to the Hurriyat chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani and other Hurriyat leaders to meet with Sharif's adviser on foreign affairs and national security Sartaj Aziz on August 23.
India has cautioned Pakistan not to go ahead with Sunday's meeting.
Last year, India had cancelled the Foreign Secretary-level talks with Pakistan after Basit met Kashmiri separatists ahead of the planned meet.
