Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has reportedly said that he will speak to Kashmiri leaders before entering talks with India.
Referring to the cancellation of foreign secretary level talks between Pakistan and India, which India called off in August to register protest against a meeting between Pakistani High Commissioner to New Delhi Abdul Basit and Hurriyat leader Shabir Shah, Sharif said that Pakistan believed that the Kashmir issue can only be resolved through dialogue, reported the Dawn.
He made the above statement while speaking at a session of the Kashmir Council in Muzzafarabad on Thursday.
He also urged the international community to play its role in bringing India to the dialogue table on the Kashmir issue.
