Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expressed his satisfaction over his visit to India and with his talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In a letter sento to Modi, Sharif said: "I look forward to working with you in harmony on all unsettled matters for the benefit of both nations. Hope that our endeavours will lay the foundation of a much brighter future."

Sharif's letter was delivered at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) by the Pakistan High Commission over the weekend.

Sharif said he was happy to have had the opportunity of a meaningful exchange of views with Prime Minister Modi on bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest to the two countries.

He also said in his letter that the poor in Pakistan and India deserved the foremost attention of the two governments.

India and Pakistan, he said, are integrated by a common economic destiny, and a concerted effort by the two governments could ensure a much brighter future for both nations.
