With just five days left for the assembly elections, former chief minister and senior Congress leader Sheila Dikshit on Monday said there is a confusing political situation right now, but expressed hope for a stable government in Delhi.
"It is confusing. Nobody knows what is going to happen, who is going to get the maximum numbers, and the situation keeps changing....Now, there are only about four days left, so, let us see what happens," Dikshit told ANI here.
"I only hope that we get a stable government for the good of Delhi. I am concerned about Delhi, not anybody's party whether Kejriwal comes, the BJP comes or we come. It should be a good stable government which does not have the excuse to say that we do not have the majority," she added.
Dikshit further downplayed queries about her absence from the Congress' rallies and campaigns this time.
"That is not important. The people know me. I go out, I have been going to meetings and it was a conscious decision that I took. And I informed the high politics command about it that I don't want to be in electoral politics. I will do the work which I am doing," she said.
Dikshit, who was chief minister for 15 years, was defeated by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal in the New Delhi Assembly seat in the last elections.
