Taking a jibe at Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for offering medical aid to injured Kashmiri people during clashes with security forces, Shiv Sena spokesperson Manisha Kayande said India is quite capable of providing treatment to its injured citizens and Pakistan needs not to be concerned about that.
"Providing medical treatment to the Kashmiri people, who have got injured in violence, is not the concern of Pakistan or Nawaz Sharif. India is quite capable of providing treatment its own people," Kayande told ANI.
Sharif's statement came days after Home Minister Rajnath Singh, in his address to the seventh meeting of SAARC Home/Interior Ministers in Islamabad, called upon the international community to stop glorifying terrorists as "martyrs"
Sharif described the Kashmir situation as an "ongoing humanitarian crisis" and swore to offer aid.
In a statement on Saturday, the Pakistan Prime Minister called upon the international community to allow Islamabad to arrange for the medical treatment of Kashmiris, who were injured during the clashes.
Sharif said Pakistan wants to provide medical treatment to the injured, particularly those who were hit by pellets.
