Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Swati Maliwal on Thursday alleged that the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) had asked her not to come to the office following the orders of Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung.
"LG office ne khandan kiya kal LG Office ne DCW m koi phone nai kiya. Shocking. DCW office ne hamse jhoot kyu bola ki LG se phone aaya hai? Kyu DCW office ne hamari name plates hatayi? Files le li aur office na aane ko kaha?," she said in a series of tweets.
Maliwal, who is the wife of AAP leader Naveen Jaihind, further said, "Mai 3 din se LG se milne ka samay mang rai hu. Aaj bhi mang rai hu ye samajhne k liye ki sach kya h. Asha karti hu wo samay denge."
The Lieutenant Governor, who has been locked in a tussle with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over the appointment and transfer of senior bureaucrats, declared Maliwal's appointment as "ultra vires" of the rules.
The AAP has rejected allegations of nepotism made by the BJP and the Congress over Maliwal's appointment. Silencing all critics, the AAP Government said that it picked the person who is best suited for the job.
