Indian shot putter Inderjeet Singh, who was tested positive for a banned substance, on Monday alleged that conspiracy was hatched against him to ruin his career and that he is completely innocent.
Inderjeet's 'A' sample was tested positive days after Rio-bound wrestler Narsingh Yadav was caught for doping.
Downplaying the reports that he was running away from dope test, the 28-year-old insisted that he had never done like that and had always entertained National Anti Doping Agency (NADA).
"This is very sad. If anyone wants to finish a player then such kind of conspiracy is done. There are speculations that Inderjeet was running away from dope test. It is not at all like that. Since I returned from US, I had six dope tests. This was the third test and results have not come of first two and last three dope tests. So, there is a conspiracy being hatched to finish me. I have not done anything. It was done in night. So I have no idea if it is being tampered or no," Inderjeet told ANI with teary eyes.
Inderjeet said although he has not received any support as of now, he would approach the panel to get his name cleared.
"I will go before the panel and thereafter will tell future course of action. I need to overcome this in a positive manner. I haven't received any support from any one," he added.

Inderjeet is one of those athletes who do not train at the national camps. He normally trains on his own with his personal coach. He is one of the first track and field athletes who qualified for the Rio Olympics as he made the cut last year itself.
Earlier, Narsingh's room-mate Sandeep Tulsi Yadav was also tested positive for the same banned steroid as the Rio-bound grappler.
