A report has said that CCTV clips showing British millionaire Shrien Dewani handing over money to the man he allegedly hired to murder his wife, Anni Dewani, have been presented to the Cape Town High Court on Tuesday.
The court was told that the 34-year-old was repeatedly asking hitman Zola Tongo "if the job had been done" before Anni's body had been recovered, reported The Mirror.
One of the video clips showed Dewani glancing up towards a hotel security camera before moving out of the frame. Another footage captured Dewani carrying a small bag of money and leading Tongo down a hotel corridor to a quiet room.
In a five-minute-long clip, Dewani is shown entering a quiet corner of the five-star Cape Grace hotel where Zola is sitting on a leather sofa. The two begin to chat before Dewani suddenly turns around to another man, who is cleaning the window of a door, and asks him to give them some "privacy."
The British entrepreneur has been accused of orchestrating the murder of his bride, Anni, during an apparently botched hijacking during their honeymoon in Cape Town in 2010.
Dewani has denied the charges claiming that the two were hijacked at gunpoint as they drove through Gugulethu in a taxi.
The trial continues.
