Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah today alleged that an ill cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu was garnering more attention from the head of government than the Dadri lynching incident.

"What does it say about our Hon PM that Sidhu's DVT (blood clot) got more attention from him that #Ikhlaq's cold blooded murder did!!!!" he tweeted.

Sidhu had earlier posted a picture on the micro-blogging website, saying "Down but Not Out! Life threatening disease (DVT) With God 's Grace will recover. Life is Fragile, handle with Prayer."

Prime Minister Modi replied to the tweet, saying "Dear @sherryontopp ji, get well soon. You are a fighter & will overcome the illness in your trademark style. Our prayers are with you."

Sidhu is presently being treated at the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital here with acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
