English golfer Simon Dyson will reportedly return to action in the upcoming South African Open and the Alfred Dunhill Championship as he awaits to see whether he will be banned from the European Tour for alleged cheating.
The six-time European Tour winner, who was disqualified from second place at last month's BMW Masters in Shanghai for illegally tapping down a spike mark on his putting line during the second round, will front a three-man panel in London on December 5 in a hearing, which may hear more than one allegation against him.
According to Sport24, the chief executive of the European Tour George O'Grady expressed his disappointment that a player of Dyson's standing was facing cheating allegations, although he said that there was nothing to stop Dyson playing the first two events of the new European Tour season in South Africa before the hearing.
The report mentioned that possible punishments range from a reprimand to a ban from the Tour.
