The chief minister of Pakistan's Sindh province, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, has said that "well-educated" criminals" have confessed to being behind the grenade attacks on schools and on police vans.

Interacting with media here on Wednesday, Shah revealed that a naval officer and a Rangers brigadier, an American educationist and police officials were also targetted killings.

According to the Dawn, Shah mentioned this in the presence of Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani, Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr Sikandar Mandhro and the provincial police chief.

He also confirmed said that the police had seized three Kalashnikov rifles, seven 9mm rifles, five grenades, seven laptops, explosive material and terrorism literature during raids, but added that currently he was not in a position to identify the political or terrorist outfits spearheading such activities.
