Indian ace shuttler P.V Sindhu has booked her place in the quarter-finals of the China Masters after defeating her opponent Chien Hui Yu of Chinese Taipei in the women's singles event here on Wednesday.
The fourth-seed claimed a 21-9, 21-17 win over Hui Yu in a contest that lasted for just 33 minutes.
Sindhu will next face Thailand's Porntip Buranaprasertsuk, who defeated Shen Yaying of China.
In the men's double event, Indian pair of Pranaav Jerry Chopra and Akshay Dewalkar knocked out of the tournament after suffering 17-21,12-21 defeat at the hands of seventh-seed pair of Wang Yilyu and Zhang Wen of China.
