Congratulating Olympics silver medalist P. V. Sindhu, legendary Indian athlete Milkha Singh on Saturday said the former performed amazingly and has made India proud.
"The entire nation is proud and happy of P. V. Sindhu's work. When I was watching her match last night, I had tears in my eyes and was thinking that she will surely win the gold medal. But it is not an issue if she didn't won gold, she performed very well," Singh told ANI.
Singh said all three of the girls (Sindhu , Sakshi and Dipa) performed fabulously and have exalted the name of country.
Further appreciating the efforts of Sindhu's coach for providing such extraordinary training he added "I would give the entire credit to P. Gopichand, he gave amazing training to Sindhu. All other coaches should take an example of him and should work harder."
PV Sindhu won a thrilling game 80 minutes of grueling badminton battle against World no. 1 Carolina Marin 21-19 but the Spanish World No.1 roared back to win the next two 21-12, 21-15 to become the new Olympic women's badminton champion at Rio.
