Following accusations of 'inappropriate contact' by a female colleague, singer and television presenter Aled Jones has been axed by The British Broadcasting Corporation.
The 46-year-old 'Songs of Praise' star has recently issued a statement, wherein he declared that he is "deeply sorry" for any upset caused but strongly denies any "inappropriate contact"
According to Metro.co.uk, a spokesman for the 'Walking in the Air' hit-maker has said that while the matter did not relate to any broadcast work, he had voluntarily agreed not to go on the BBC.
In a statement, the spokesman added: "Whilst he accepts that his behaviour over a decade ago was occasionally juvenile, as was that of others, he never intended to harass or distress and he strongly denies any inappropriate contact."
"He is, however, deeply sorry for any upset caused and hopes this matter is resolved soon."
According to sources, the allegation made against Aled is centered around "inappropriate contact" and messages.
