India's first global technology OEM and IoT brand Smartron on Friday celebrated its one year anniversary of the public launch of the company and introduction of tbook, tphone, and ttab devices and tronx IoT platform.
The celebration also marked the expansion of the R&D and other operations with the opening of the new corporate headquarters located in the financial district, Hyderabad.
This facility was inaugurated by K Taraka Rama Rao Minister of IT, industries, MA & UD and NRI Affairs Government of Telangana in the presence of founder Mahesh Lingareddy and Co-founders Narsi Reddy Posham and Rohit Rathi along with several other dignitaries including Jayesh Ranjan Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce (I&C) and Information Technology(IT) Government of Telangana.
This expansion is a step towards building a stronger base to support the R&D and innovation to create a smart product ecosystem.
The company also joined hands with the state of Telangana and signed a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and agreed to expanding Corporate Headquarters and its state of the art R&D center, setting up a mega data center server farm, bringing T-Hub onto tronX ecosystem to support innovation and manufacturing not just handsets but a range of smart devices, sensors, systems and vehicles.
The Telangana state government has agreed to assist and extend incentives and subsidies to Smartron for its business activities through various technology, manufacturing and IOT policies.
"This office expansion and MoU signing is a step closer towards making Smartron a global product technology brand based out of India. We will continue to build an innovation led ecosystem through tronX, an AI powered IoT ecosystem and have an aggressive roadmap of products and services in the next one year," said founder and chairman, Mahesh Lingareddy.
