The whistleblower who exposed one of the massive US-run intelligence surveillance programmes by NSA, may not be able to resist US prosecution attempts and face decades as jail term.
According to BBC, Snowden was found missing from the Hong Kong hotel he was staying in to escape US extradition.
However, his decision of fleecing to Hong Kong may not save him from prosecution due to an extradition treaty in force since 1998.
According to the report, Snowden had earlier said that he has 'obligation to free people from the oppression'.
