Edward Snowden, the former National Security Agency contractor, proposes to launch an anti-surveillance technology to curb government spying.
He disclosed the plan to a group of hackers on Saturday.
Snowden spoke to the HOPE X conference in New York City through a video link from Moscow, reports CNET.
He told the group that they should work towards developing the anti-surveillance technology.
Snowden claimed that he would devote his upcoming future towards making this plan a reality.
Snowden, charged under espionage act, is currently living in Russia after escaping from the United States.
