India's biggest social media summit, 'Social Media Summit and Awards-2018', kicked off in Vijayawada on Friday. The second edition of the two-day summit (November 9-10), powered by the Department of Tourism, Andhra Pradesh, has been organised by Vibri Media.
The summit discussed different facets of social media in terms of growth, knowledge, awareness, use cases, policy and regulation, on the first day of the event. It also focused on creating an experience zone with various social media platforms and cutting-edge technologies like Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, fire side chats, and panel discussions and so on with industry leaders and governments.
The event was graced by the Chief Executive Officer of Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority, Himanshu Shukla, and Andhra Pradesh Law Minister K Raveendra. Cricketer VVS Lakshman and actor Swara Bhaskar also took part in fire side chat session on the topic, "How social media is amplifying the sports fervour," and "Usage of social media for social media impact movements" respectively.
Indian humanoid robot, Mitra was a special attraction at the event.
