Socomec strengthens manufacturing footprint in India by adding globally-proven switching products

Socomec today announced the strengthening of its manufacturing capabilities in India by adding the Internationally proven switching products line "SIRCOVER" Manual Transfer Switching Equipment (MTSE), "SIRCO" Load Break and Isolation Switch (LBS) and SIRCO PV Photovoltaic Switching solutions at its Gurgaon facility.

SIRCOVER and SIRCO will be available for Indian customers as well and eventually will replace the previous Socomec ranges COS and LBS respectively.

Socomec is a world leading innovative specialist, manufacturing and supplying technically advanced products for source changeover, switch-disconnection and photovoltaic applications.

SIRCOVER MTSE are Class PC manually operated transfer switching equipment rated from 63 to 3200A available in 3 Pole and 4 Pole with utilisation category of up to AC23A and AC33B. They have been specifically designed for source changeover applications and are one of the few changeover solutions available in the Indian market that are certified and fully compliant with both IS/IEC 60947-3 and IEC 60947-6-1. This offers huge benefits in terms of safety, reliability and performance as IEC 60947-6-1 is the only IEC international standard specifically dedicated to transfer switching equipment (TSE).

SIRCOVER are proven globally to be extremely robust, ergonomic, safe and maintenance free. They lead the way worldwide and are one of the safest, robust and widely used transfer switch equipment (TSE) for secure changeover of power supply from one source to another following the sequence of I - 0 - II.

SIRCO are manually operated Load Break and Isolation switch with ratings available from 63 to 5000 A available in 3 Pole and 4 Pole providing a compact and robust design featuring high performance with easy installation making it the most convenient LBS for most switching applications. SIRCO switches make and break under full load and provide safety isolation in full compliance with IS / IEC 60947-3. They are designed for 415 VAC heavy duty applications up to AC 23 A utilisation category.

Providing high performance, easy integration, reliability and robustness the manually operated LBS is ideal for Main switchboards, Machine and Distribution panels, Network coupling, Emergency breaking and Local safety breaking whilst assuring a complete safety for the user and the load.
