Pakistani all-rounder Sohail Tanvir has reportedly been slapped with a fine for breaching the code of conduct during his team's six-run loss against South Africa in their Twenty20 international on Friday.

Tanvir had pointed toward the dressing room with both hands after dismissing South African ODI captain AB de Villiers in the 18th over, breaching the ICC code of conduct, which relates to 'pointing or gesturing toward the pavilion by a bowler or a fielder upon the dismissal of a batsman during an international match'.

According to Sport24, the ICC stated that Tanvir has been fined 10 percent of his match fee, adding that the left-arm fast bowler accepted the sanctions imposed by the match referee without the need to convene a disciplinary hearing.

South Africa jumped to No 3 in the Twenty20 rankings after whitewashing Pakistan 2-0 in the series, the report added.
