Amidst the uproar against Tanmay Bhatt and AIB's spoof video titled 'Sachin vs Lata Civil War,' that had jokes about Sachin Tendulkar and Lata Mangeshkar, actress Sonam Kapoor has come out in their support.
Unlike Bollywood personalities like Anupam Kher, Riteish Deshmukh and others, the 30-year-old actress took to her Twitter handle to share a series of tweets, saying the video has been misinterpreted and the group does nothing to "offend" people.
"Dear @thetanmay ,being your friend I know what you say and do is never to offend, but to make people laugh..," she said.
"Don't you guys think there are issues that are more important than @thetanmay snapchat jokes??? I'm in shock with this over reaction!" Sonam's second tweet read.
"Being living legends I know @sachin_rt and @mangeshkarlata don't even know and care about what's going on!stop spewing hate on their behalf!," wrote the 'Neerja' actress.
