North Korea has condemned the new U.S. sanctions against the country following a cyber attack on Sony, as hostile and inflammatory.
The U.S. had authorized sanctions against three North Korean organizations and 10 individuals after the FBI blamed North Korea for the Sony hack, reported BBC.
The hack came just days before the release of the controversial comedy The Interview that shows a fictional plot to kill the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
North Korea has been denying all charges against it but praised the attack.
A North Korea foreign ministry spokesman said that the sanctions authorized by the U.S. are only to "stifle North Korea".
