Supervising sound editors and designers Erik Aadahl and Ethan Van der Ryn have revealed the lengthy course of action that was used to produce title creature's iconic roar.
Aadahl said that they started by going back to Ishiro Honda's classic 1954 film for the original roar's musical key because they did not wanted something completely different but to embrace the template of the original with the enhanced technology, the Hollywood Reporter reported.
Van der Ryn further explained that they dissected the musical keys of the original iconic roar and started experimenting with it by listening different types of sounds with microphone.
The final sound key was found in a 'non-living thing', which the movie makers have decided to keep a secret for now.
