Sourav Ganguly turns 45: Wishes pour in for 'Dada'

Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly turned 45 on Saturday and Twitter was flooded with wishes for one of nation's most successful captain.

After making a sensational Test debut at the iconic Lord's Stadium in 1996, where he scored a century, Ganguly went on to lead Team India in 49 Tests and 147 ODIs.

The left-hander is regarded as one of the most successful Indian captains and is often credited with changing the face of country's cricket.

He scored 7212 runs in 113 Test matches at an average of 42.17. While, in ODI cricket, Ganguly made 11363 runs in 311 games.

"Happy Birthday to one of India's finest cricketers, Sourav Ganguly!" tweeted ICC.

"Whatever success I could achieve in Test Cricket,I truly attribute it to the wonderful support you gave me @SGanguly99 . #HappyBirthdayDada," wrote Virender Sehwag.
