World number two golfer Jordan Spieth, who won his second major at the US Open at Chambers Bay, said that he is excited to be the part of the young generation golfers as they were dominating the game.

The American finished on five-under 275 after Dustin Johnson squandered another chance at a first major title when he three-putted the last from 12 feet.

Spieth, who is just 21, became the youngest player since Gene Sarazen in 1922 to place multiple major success beside his name.

He also became the only sixth player in the history to claim back-to-back Masters and the US Open titles. The last golfer to achieve this feat was former number one Tiger Woods.

Jubilant with his grand success, Spieth said that it was great that the game was in young hands, the BBC reported.

World number one Rory McIlroy holds the other two major titles, the Open and US PGA Championship, with Rickie Fowler being the Players Championship champion.
