Jitendra Singh said that as a young person, as a sportsperson and as the sports minister,he felt ' all our heads hang in shame '. He added: "Of course there should be some sort of a law, there should be some sort of a system in place where these things don't occur, not only in cricket; we are only talking about cricket just now because there has been this expose. But there are other sports also, which are affected or will be affected in the future."

Meanwhile, BCCI President N. Srinivasan, facing uncomfortable questions over his son-in-law's arrest in connection with the spot-fixing scam, is expected to hold a press meet this evening.

It is, however, not clear whether the BCCI President will announce his resignation or not. Till yesterday, Srinivasan had remained defiant on his stand of not quitting the post, claiming that he had not done anything wrong.
