American telecommunication company Sprint Corp has cut at least 2,500 jobs mostly from call centers.
The layoffs mean that Sprint is completely shutting down four of its call centers, Reuters reported.
The laying off was very much expected from the company since it fell into fourth place in the wireless market. It is an initiative to cut cost inorder to save $2.5 million.
The American telecommunications holding company provides wireless services and is a major global Internet carrier. It is the fourth largest wireless network operator in the United States, and serves 58.6 million customers as of November 2015.
