Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Vertonghen had reportedly pulled down the shorts of Aston Villa's Nicklas Helenius while trying to tackle him during their League Cup match, which was won 4-0 by Spurs.
A falling Vertonghen reached out and yanked the striker's shorts downwards, exposing him, as he prepared to shoot.
According to the Mirror, however, Helenius, only just into the match as a half-time substitute, played on and even got a shot away.
But the report mentioned that Villa was not even awarded a penalty for the shorts-pulling despite the stringent rules imposed on football over a mere shirt-pulling.
Tottenham won the match with goals from Jermain Defoe (two), Paulinho and Nacer Chadli, the report added.
