A Sri Lankan court has reportedly imposed a travel ban on Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's brother and defence secretary.
The ban came as police is probing "a boatload of weapons belonging to a private security company" established by Rajapaksa, reported the BBC.
The company claimed that the weapons were meant for escorting commercial ships but police said that they had received complaints that the weapons were used for intimidation.
Rajapaksa and his brother Mahinda have denied any wrongdoing.
A magistrate in the southern port city of Galle confiscated Rajapaksa's passport along with those belonging to three others.
A statement said that the ban was sought by police investigating the Avant-Garde Security Service floating armoury case.
