N. Srinivasan's lawyer Kapil Sibal today informed the Supreme court that he will not be pressing his perjury application against the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) for allegedly giving wrong information.
Meanwhile, the BCCI took a stand in the apex court that Srinivasan still stands disqualified to attend working their committee meetings.
The apex court then criticised BCCI saying that they have already given their order and told the board to stick to their point.
The Supreme Court further admonished the BCCI and said them, 'don't come to us everytime'.
After which, the BCCI withdrew its clarification application on Srinivasan's attending the WC meetings after the apex court declined to entertain their application.
The Supreme Court had earlier dismissed BCCI's plea seeking review of its verdict by which a controversial amendment of a rule which permitted the cricket board administrators to acquire or hold commercial interest in events like IPL and champions league was struck down.
