Stanley Tucci has landed the role of a villain in Screen Gems' upcoming flick 'Patient Zero.'
The 54-year-old actor would be starring opposite Natalie Dormer and Matt Smith in the action thriller project, which would be helmed by Stefan Ruzowitzky from a script by Mike Le and produce by Vincent Newman, Deadline.com reported.
The story would show an unprecedented global pandemic of a super strain of rabies, which has resulted in the evolution of a new species driven by violence. An inexplicably immune human survivor with the ability to communicate with this new species must spearhead a hunt for Patient Zero in order to find a cure to save his infected wife and humanity.
Tucci would play an evil professor, who becomes infected, and highly violent, and decides to crash the lab that's working on a cure to put a stop to the search for Patient Zero.
