A new study has suggested that the first day at school for kids is the most emotional milestone for British parents.
According to the researchers, one third of parents felt a mixture of enthusiasm alongwith anxiousness and seven in 10 mothers and a quarter of the fathers required a tissue, the Daily Express reported.
John Carolan, head of buying for Tu childrenswear at Sainsbury's, said that child's first day at school was considered that their baby has grown to a child.
The survey also revealed that parents other important milestones included a child's first steps, first word and first birthday.
Potty-training hurdle and the moment kids could ride a bike were other important milestones for parents.
