Stevie Wonder has launched a pro-Obama rant at the recent funeral of Grammy-winning gospel singer Andrae Crouch, in which he decried racism against the US President.
The 64-year-old singer said while softly playing the piano that for him, seeing the world and visualizing in his mind what is going on, some of it is such heartbreak, the Washington Times reported.
Wonder added that people live in a time where he believes they have a president that truly wanted to see the world come together, to see this nation come together, but yet too much, too many people are judging their dislike of him based on the color of his skin.
Wonder then appeared to suggest that free speech in America should be limited in terms of religion, adding that he believes that people can't go around feeling just because they don't agree with someone that they've got to kill them.
He concluded before breaking into song that he prays for the world, for all people because he knows that love is in need of love today.
An attendee at the funeral, who was apparently upset by Wonder's comments, said Crouch "was not about color or politics," he was about his faith and reached out to everyone.
The source added that in a time where racial tension has escalated, the inclusive spirit and heart of Andrae was a healing balm.
