South Africa's pace spearhead Dale Steyn has revealed that he learned the craft of copping with pain on his skateboard.

Proteas pace bowler believes that he has nurtured his skills of pace through skateboarding as he used to train on it till he achieved the perfection. According to him, fractures and blood from the fall never deterred him as he sought the right results, News.com.au reported.

Growing up on the fringes of Kruger National Park, Steyn was introduced to the game of cricket when he witnessed some other children playing at a school. Coming from a humble background, Steyn went on to use second-hand boots from Shaun Pollock when he ventured into first-class cricket.

Being the greatest quicks of all time, Dale Steyn has already claimed 383 wickets from 75 Test in his international career.
