South African fast bowler Dale Steyn produced a remarkable performance on Thursday as he became the fastest bowler to reach the 400-Test wicket club, in terms of balls bowled.
It took him 16,634 balls to reach the target of 400 wickets. Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal became Steyn's 400th victim after skipper Hashim Amla took a chest-high catch in his third over of the match.
The 32-year-old is also the joint second quickest to 400, along with Sir Richard Hadlee, in terms of matches played, the BBC reported.
Steyn became the second South African bowler after Shaun Pollock, who has 421 scalps to his name, to reach the milestone.
