Liverpool forward Raheem Sterling's stunning second-half goal helped his side to earn a fully deserved draw against arch-rivals Chelsea in the first leg of the League Cup semi-final at Anfield.
Chelsea ace winger Eden Hazard gave the Blues an early lead in the 18th minute as he converted his fourth penalty of the campaign with a right footed shot to the bottom right corner, the BBC reported.
However, Sterling netted a superb second half equalizer to level the score as Liverpool dominated the possession with 62 percent at Anfield.
While Liverpool made 19 attempts on goal, Chelsea could manage only two attempts on goal.
The second leg of the match would be played next Tuesday at Stamford Bridge.
