A newly married German man accidentally left his wife at a gas station after he drove off without her and didn't even notice her absence for 125 miles.
The unidentified couple, who were returning from their honeymoon in France, had stopped at the gas station in central Germany to fill up on fuel, when the woman went inside to use the restroom, the New York Daily News reported.
Since the woman was sleeping in the back of their mini-van, the man didn't notice she was gone, the police said.
The cops asserted that after driving for 125 miles and more than two hours, it finally struck the man that his new wife was missing from the vehicle.
Later, the woman told a German radio station that at first she wondered if her husband was stupid, because she had no money and no phone.
The unnamed woman said that she somehow she managed to call the police and was reunited with her hubby about five hours later at the gas station.
The woman added that she is not angry with her husband now because he didn't mean it.
