Troubled Liverpool player Luis Suarez reportedly looks set to stay on at his club after apologising to club manager Brendan Rodgers and his teammates for his recent behaviour.

According to Metro.co.uk, Suarez, who has been subject of two bids from Arsenal in recent weeks, had asked to leave Liverpool at the end of last season after growing tired of life at Anfield.

However, the club rejected the stance, with Rodgers saying that Suarez will be staying with them although he asked the player to apologise to the club if he ever wants to play for the club again.

Although the idea seemed unlikely, the report however, said that Suarez was spotted smiling and laughing with players during the first-team training on Friday, which indicated that he has apologised to Rodgers and the players for his wantaway behaviour, adding that Suarez's reintegration into the team is set to continue in the next few days.

The report further said that Arsenal's hopes of landing Suarez look over, as the player seems happy to make up with Liverpool and commit his future to them.
