A top United States military officer has reportedly said that the success of the U.S.-led campaign to take on the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Iraq depends on "getting more help" from Arab nations.

Army Gen. Martin Dempsey, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told the press on Sunday that the militant outfit needs to be "squeezed from multiple directions" and added that more participation from Arab nations in the campaign is a pre-requisite for President Barack Obama's approval of the military plan against the ISIS, reported Fox News.

Obama had earlier declared in an opinion column published Sunday in the Tampa Bay Times that the war against the militant organization will not be fought by America alone and that is why the U.S. is trying to build a broad international coalition to take on the group.
