A suicide bomber has killed at least 45 people at a volleyball tournament in Afghanistan after the attacker detonated a bomb amid a crowd of people gathering for a game, a report said.
A spokesman for the governor of Paktika province confirmed the news, reported the BBC.
The attack followed an approval by Afghan MPs to allow Nato and U.S. soldiers to remain in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of most foreign troops next month.
The total number of Nato forces remaining in Afghanistan after the pullout will be about 12,000 and will be responsible for training, advising and assisting the Afghan security forces.
A separate U.S.-led force will also be there to deal with the remnants of Al Qaeda.
