Sushant Singh Rajput's family also joined the proud nation in applauding his performance in the MS Dhoni biopic.
Pinkvilla recently met with the 30-year-old on-screen Dhoni in the capital and asked if the entire Rajput family had seen the movie.
"Yeah, they finally did. And they were extremely proud that I dropped out of engineering college to pursue acting. It was a huge compliment for me," said the star.
Sushant Singh was pursuing mechanical engineering at Delhi Technological University but chose to drop out in the third year to go for a career in acting.
As per some reports, Sushant had even stopped his family from watching the movie on their own and planned a trip to the capital to catch their live reaction.
Interestingly, Sushant's elder sister Mitu was the real cricket player in his family and she even helped her baby brother to don Dhoni's role to perfection.
