External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Wednesday met Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the sidelines of the Heart of Asia Istanbul Process Ministerial conference here and held bilateral talks with him and his adviser Sartaj Aziz.
"Conveying India's commitment to good neighborly relations, EAM @SushmaSwaraj calls on PM Nawaz Sharif," tweeted Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Vikas Swarup.
Sharif on Tuesday had chaired a high-level meeting of top security and civil officials ahead of the bilateral meet.
Earlier in the day, Swaraj also met Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and discussed the terror threat in Afghanistan and the status of peace and reconciliation process.
Swaraj also held bilateral meeting with her Iranian counterpart, Mohammad Javad Zarif, and Kyrgyzstan's Foreign Minister Erlan Abdyldaev and discussed issues of mutual interest.
The agenda of the two day fifth 'Heart of Asia' conference with focus on Afghanistan, also came under discussion during the meeting.

The conference is aimed at enhancing cooperation for countering security threats and promoting connectivity in the region.
The high-ranking delegations from 14 participating states, 17 supporting countries and 12 international and regional organisations are participating in the conference.
