Three schools from Directorate of Education, Delhi Government, one school from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and a school each from West Zone and South Central Cultural Zone will perform colourful dances on Rajpath during the Republic Day Parade - 2015 in New Delhi.
Nearly 1200 boys and girls from these schools are taking part in this extraordinary cultural event, who have been shortlisted after going through a rigorous process of selection.
About 136 students from Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Nathu Pura, Delhi will perform 'Swachh Banaye Bharat Dance' in which students are appealing to make every path, every town and every home neat and clean so that it appears to be a visible heaven on earth.
Children belonging to a school from Udaipur coming under West Zone Cultural Centre, will perform Gujarat's 'Daang Adivasi Holi Nritya'. This dance is performed by young male and female accompanied by their instrument sarnai, kahlya and Dholki.
180 girls from Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Janakpuri will perform 'Gondhal Dance' which is an educative, entertaining and important tradition of Maharashtra.
170 girls and boys from Red Roses Public School, Saket will present a dance in multicolour attires celebrating India's first successful launching of spaceship 'Mangalyaan' into the orbit of planet Mars.
