Rashtriya Janata Party (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Wednesday alleged that Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev, who follows the stance of the ruling BJP at the Centre, is a dealer of medicines.

"He (Ramdev) follows the stance of BJP. I had earlier questioned his credentials on the issue of the black money, which is why he is reacting in this way. He is not a saint, he is 'swadhu'. He is no 'maharaj' but a dealer of medicines," Lalu said, adding that Ramdev has now derailed from his path.

The RJD supremo recalled an earlier incident when he had come to Ramdev's defence after allegations were levelled against him by CPI (M) leader Brinda Karat.

"There was allegation against him (Baba Ramdev) by Brinda Karat that he uses animal bones in his medicines. At that point, I had defended him and said it is fine to use bones of animals as long as it treats the disease," he added.

Ramdev had earlier lashed out at Lalu over his remark on cow slaughter, saying that he had blackened the face of the Yadav community and could not be a follower of Krishna. He added that a person like the RJD boss can only be the progeny of Kansa.
