T-Mobile and AT andT have reportedly confirmed that they will offer LG's bendable G Flex smartphone, which is said to be coated with a 'self-healing' material.
The two mobile network giants made the announcement at the ongoing CES 2014 event in Las Vegas.
According to Fox News, the LG G Flex is a banana-shaped smart phone with a slightly curved 6-inch OLED display and users can bend the phone flat for a limited amount of time, a feature that is supposed to help the device better survive the stresses and strains of the user's tight pockets.
The smartphone maker said that the curvature of the screen helps in delivering an "outstanding voice and sound experience" because of the way it follows the contour of the face.
The 'self-healing' coating helps make the phone easier to grip apart from making the device withstand daily wear and tear including piercings with a blade or other sharp objects, the report added.
