Mitchell Starc has become the second Australian fast bowler after Jackson Bird who clearly wants England's reserve batsman James Taylor to play the third Test at Old Trafford.
According to news.com.au, on standby for Kevin Pietersen should he fail to recover from a strained calf, the tiny Taylor scored an unbeaten 121 not out as a Sussex ring-in against Australia during a drawn three-day match.
However, the report said that his hundred had hardly frightened the Australians, who dropped him on 23 and 90.
Starc said that he had played against Taylor before and knew that he was someone who liked to cut and pull and being a small guy, he could be trapped while driving and the bowler would like to hit him again.
A day earlier Jackson Bird had described Taylor as someone who was a bit scratchy at times, the report added.
