Leading enabler of connectivity and communication solutions, Tata Tele Business Services (TTBS), and Startup Leadership Program (SLP) successfully organised the Startup 5K RunWalk in Pune on February 25, to promote education and healthcare for girl child.
It was a five kilometre run/walk, started from Kharadi IT Park ground to World Trade Centre and back to Kharadi IT Park.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from startup community and college students, running/walking for the cause. The proceeds from the event will go towards the empowerment of girl child.
Jotiram Kaulage, Sangram Deshmukh and Selvaraj Naidu won the top three slots respectively.
The winners were felicitated by SME operations head - west region, Tata Tele Business Services, Mannu Singh.
"The 5K RunWalk is a great initiative to create awareness about the cause of gender equality. We are glad that large numbers of people in Pune, especially from startup and student communities, participated and made the event successful," said Singh.

This run-for-a-cause event was open to everyone, especially targeted at the startup ecosystem including innovators, founders, VCs, working professionals.
Some of the startups that participated in the event were - My Bike Wash-Startup in automatic bike wash system; Sparup - sports technology company that helps athletes achieve excellence; Pik a shoot - that clicks emotion felt pictures; Color Ur Blank Spaces - an interior designing tech startup; and Rida Wellness - that makes natural, handmade homeopathic wellness and beauty products.
