Describing the alliance of TDP and BJP as the coming together of divisive forces which shows the weakness of Chandrababu Naidu, YSR Congress has said the coalition will have no moral sanctity and it will be blown away in the wave that is sweeping in favour of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

"The conflicting statements and interests of BJP and TDP since 1999 has only shown that the two parties are on a weak plank morally and they will not succeed in stalling the onward march of YSRCP which is getting a grounds well of people's support to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy," party senior leader Ummareddy Venkaeswarlu told reporters here yesterday.

"TDP and BJP have given unconditional support to division of the State and have been partners in the undemocratic bifurcation with BJP giving its nod to the Bill and TDP floor leader boasting of casting the first vote and Naidu himself earlier, giving a letter to divide the state. The Kakinada meeting of BJP has passed a resolution at Kakinada and came up with a slogan of one vote -two states," Venkaeswarlu said.

Ironically, the two parties have been at loggerheads on many counts with Naidu being on record that having a tie-up with BJP has been a historic blunder as minorities have distanced themselves from TDP after Godra carnage in Gujarat.

"Naidu was the first to demand the ouster of Narendra Modi after the Godhra incident and today, the coming together of the two parties shows how opportunist and morally weak they are. BJP leaders too have said time and again that they lost the 2004 elections due to the alliance with TDP," he said.

"Naidu has also said that the alliance has been a historic blunder an now the tie-up shows how desperate TDP is to have the backing of some party or the other as it is unable to come anywhere near to the YSRCP. Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy knows the pulse of the people and the party is getting a thumping mandate in the 2014 elections, he added.

Even now Telangana leaders of BJP have expressed their protest against the alliance. The tie-up will only hurt the sentiments of minorities and drift away secular forces and we see the alliance as an opportunist and desperate move.

Earlier, the BJP had released a charge-sheet against TDP government headed by Chandrababu Naidu and said inefficiency can be tolerated but not betrayal. BJP has described Naidu as a betrayer who has hijacked the government which was voted to power under the leadership of NTR.

Taking over the governance is immoral, the BJP has said in the preamble to the charge-sheet. The two parties have mutually hurled abuses and allegations at each other, serious in nature, and now they come together with the hope to win a handful of seats but their designs will fall flat and YSRCP will sweep the 2014 elections, he said.
